Leyte, Philippines – A new batch of skilled workers is set to join the world of work as 23 female trainees successfully graduated from the rigorous 11-month vocational skills training program of PASAR Foundation at KEITECH Institute. The training, which included five months of on-the-job training at the PASAR plant, has equipped the trainees with industry-aligned knowledge, skills, and the right work attitude to thrive in the workforce.
The program was designed to help senior high school graduates gain practical experience and technical expertise in preparation for employment in manufacturing plants. With a curriculum tailored to meet industry standards, the trainees underwent intensive hands-on training in various technical and vocational skills, ensuring that they are job-ready upon completion of the program.
Graced by TESDA Region 8 Regional Director Dan M. Navarro and Assistance Regional Director Vivian A. Abueva, the event was also witnessed by the proud parents of the trainees. PASAR Foundation representatives and KEITECH officers and staff together with the expressed their pride in the trainees’ achievements. They emphasized the importance of empowering women in technical fields and acknowledged the trainees' dedication and perseverance throughout the training. The proud parents of the trainees were also there as they witness the graduation of their daughters.
“This program not only hones technical skills but also instils discipline and the right attitude needed in the workplace,” said the RD Navarro. “We are confident that these young women are now fully prepared to contribute meaningfully to the industry.”
The successful completion of this batch of trainees marks another milestone for PASAR Foundation’s commitment to providing opportunities for young individuals, particularly women, to excel in technical and vocational careers. As the graduates’ step into the workforce, they carry with them not only the skills they have acquired but also the confidence to build a better future for themselves, their families and the communities where they lived.
