Under the partnership between PASAR Foundation Inc. (PFI) and the University of the Philippines Diliman, a BS Metallurgical Engineering student has been deployed to PASAR for a 30-day on-the-job training program in August 2024. This initiative aims to provide practical industry experience, allowing the trainee to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world metallurgical setting.
During the training, the student will be exposed to PASAR’s operations, gaining hands-on experience in metal processing and refining under the guidance of industry professionals. PFI and UP Diliman representatives expressed their commitment to nurturing young talents through this collaboration, reinforcing the importance of industry-academe partnerships in preparing future engineers for the workforce.
