PASAR Isabel Sewer Association receives 16 new sewing machines

Sixteen members of PASAR Isabel Sewer Association (PISA) receives 16 new high-speed, heavy-duty sewing machines on February 3, 2021, at Matlang National Highschool Covered Court. This livelihood boost is under Project DrESS or Dressmaking Enterprise for Self Sufficiency that aims to provide skills and livelihood opportunities for its members to generate income for their families through a rent to own arrangement of the machines. PISA was organized and registered in DOLE Region 8 last year after 24 members completed the 35-day Dressmaking Training and on-the-job training at Crystal 7. PISA members are certified NC II holders from TESDA Region 8. Matlang Barangay Captain Godfrey Centino, MSWD Officer Alma Mañosa, Social Worker Donna Montalvan, PFI Director Ruben Cajigas, and PFI President Ann M. Asupan were present during the turnover ceremony.
