Isabel, Leyte – The PASAR Foundation has undertaken a comprehensive screening process for the 12-month vocational skills training program by conducting home visitations and interviews with the parents of 25 female applicants in the months of September to October 2023. This initiative serves as a crucial step in finalizing the selection of trainees for the program.
The home visits and interviews aim to assess the applicants’ living conditions, family support, and commitment to completing the training. The process ensures that the program benefits those who will make the most out of the opportunity and contribute positively to their communities upon graduation.
“Our goal is to provide vocational skills training to deserving individuals who have the drive to succeed,” said Carmela Budlong, the projects coordinator of PASAR Foundation. “By engaging with the applicants and their families, we ensure that they are prepared for the challenges and opportunities this program presents.”
Parents and guardians expressed their gratitude for the initiative, acknowledging the potential impact of the training on their daughters’ futures. “This program will open new doors for our children, and we are grateful for the support PASAR Foundation is providing,” shared a parent of one of the applicants.
Once the final list of trainees is determined, the selected individuals will undergo a 12-month vocational skills training designed to equip them with essential knowledge and hands-on experience for future employment opportunities.
The PASAR Foundation remains committed to empowering women through education and skill development, ensuring a brighter future for the next generation.
