PASAR Foundation Conducts Batch 4 Forklift Operator Training for Local Youth

Isabel, Leyte – The PASAR Foundation is currently conducting its Batch 4 training for forklift operators under the Community-Based Training for Heavy Equipment Operators (CBTHEO) program. Started on Sept 1, 2023, this initiative, aimed at developing competent and motivated operators from local communities, is being participated in by nine local youths, including two women.

The ongoing training focuses on equipping participants with essential skills in forklift operation, safety protocols, and machine maintenance. Through hands-on practice and theoretical learning, the trainees are being prepared to meet industry standards and enhance their employability in various sectors.

“This program is designed to provide valuable skills and open employment opportunities for local youths,” said Ernicris Garay, training assistant of PASAR Foundation. “We are especially proud to see women taking part in heavy equipment operation, proving that this field is open to everyone willing to learn and excel.”

Participants have expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation for the training, recognizing it as a stepping stone toward stable careers. “This training gives us not just technical skills but also confidence in pursuing job opportunities,” shared one of the female trainees.

PASAR Foundation remains committed to empowering local communities by providing relevant skills training and workforce development programs. With each batch of CBTHEO trainees, the foundation continues to support sustainable livelihood and economic growth in Isabel and beyond.
