Isabel, Leyte – The Community-Based Training for Heavy Equipment Operators (CBTHEO) program marked another milestone with the successful completion of its Batch 5 Forklift Training in November 2023. A total of 25 trainees, including two women, graduated from the intensive program, equipping them with essential skills in forklift operation and workplace safety.
The training, conducted under the CBTHEO initiative, aimed to enhance the employability of participants by providing hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in forklift operations. The program underscores PASAR’s commitment to workforce development and economic empowerment within the community.
During the graduation ceremony, representatives from PASAR and PASAR Foundation commended the trainees for their dedication and perseverance. “We are incredibly proud of our graduates, especially the two female participants who have shown that forklift operation is a skill open to everyone. This initiative opens new doors for employment opportunities and contributes to industry growth,” said Bernard Dacar, superintendent of PASAR Mobile Pool Operation.
The graduates expressed their gratitude for the valuable training, which they believe will significantly boost their chances of securing stable employment. “This program has given us not just skills, but also confidence to pursue better job opportunities,” said one of the trainees.
The success of Batch 5 further strengthens PASAR and PASAR Foundation’s mission to support community members through technical and vocational training programs. As the CBTHEO program continues, more individuals are expected to benefit from future training sessions, fostering sustainable growth and employment opportunities in Isabel.
