Palompon South District formally started the school-feeding component of the Yolanda DRILLS project of PFI with 65 beneficiaries on December 14 at the Tabunok Elementary School.
The short opening program was attended by the local officials of barangay Tabunok led by Brgy. Captain Rene Camposano and five councilors. The implementation will be handled by school-feeding coordinator-teacher Liza Requitillo under school head Levenia Rodado.
Of the 229 pupil population, 65 who were below normal in nutrition status were included in the daily feeding until the end of the school year 2016-2017 in March 2017. The school is one of the five public schools of Palompon South District participating in the DRILLS project, which is co-funded by Children’s Hour.
